The 2nd World Conference on Explainable Artificial Intelligence is an annual event that aims to bring together researchers, academics and practitioners from different disciplines, promoting the sharing and discussion of knowledge, new perspectives, experiences, practical, social and ethical aspects of new models of artificial intelligence (AI).

In particular, AI has seen a significant shift in focus towards the design and development of intelligent systems that are interpretable and explainable, due to the complexity of the data-driven model and the legal requirements imposed by various national and international parliaments.

Indeed, as highlighted in the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (AI ACT), which establishes harmonised standards on Artificial Intelligence and amends certain pieces of Union legislation, xAI can help solve some of the problems of AI.
