The IMS gateway that simplifies business
Exprivia implemented an IMS network provisioning gateway that allows the Operator to uncouple the commercial and business dynamics associated with the services and customers from the technical complexity and technological evolution dynamics of network systems.
The needs
Our customer needed to optimize the management of the provisioning flows towards the main network elements of its IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) network, to support the continuous evolution of the services offered to its Enterprise and Consumer customers.
The project
Exprivia implemented an IMS network provisioning gateway that allows the Operator to uncouple the commercial and business dynamics associated with the services and customers from the technical complexity and technological evolution dynamics of the network systems.
The Gateway applies business logic to the service activation and customer profile configuration flows created by the dealers, customer care and the IT systems of the Operator, and then the flows are suitably directed by network logic to the network elements and databases of the Operator's IMS network.
Among the other functions, the Provisioning gateway implements load balancing, redistributing the customer's data across the network elements of the IMS network (SBC, ENUM, DNS and LDAP) and allows the customer's migration operations between the network elements to be managed and controlled, thus preventing system overloads and faults.
The results obtained
In the Exprivia Provisioning Gateway, the customer has at its disposal a powerful tool that simplifies and separates the development of the marketing policies from the complexity and evolutions of the network devices.
