Founded in 1964, with 8 production plants and 13 commercial branches around the world, Maschio Gaspardo is a leading international group in the production of agricultural equipment for tillage, seeding, fertilisation, crop treatment, greenery maintenance and hay-making.

In 2020, the Group decided to abandon its in-house management logic, turning to an external partner to update the SAP ERP ECC (ERP Enterprise Central Component) and migrate to its evolution in the cloud: SAP S/4HANA on Azure. Several areas were involved (production planning, materials management, warehouse management, Sales & Distribution, Quality Management, finance and control), for a total of 430 people to be supported and trained in the new procedures.
Considering that 50% of Maschio Gaspardo's users are distributed around the world, the migration project was certainly very demanding from the point of view of systemic and operational coordination. This meant efficiently managing a large number of geographies, languages (currently 10), foreign currencies, time zones, regulations and policies.
As a top SAP vendor, Exprivia was chosen as the technological partner for the whole Group, which in 2022 began the big manoeuvres required to involve all the Maschio Gaspardo branches, from now to within the next few months. A cloud platform that is optimised for SAP, Azure will provide the Group with all the scalability, power and agility that virtual machines certified for SAP HANA guarantee, in more areas than any other public cloud service provider. All with the best security and compliance guarantees.
Governance without compromises
In addition to participating in the entire phase of analysis, implementation, testing, data migration and support for user training, Exprivia is also conducting a review of the design of operating processes, eliminating all the custom structures created over the years and moving them to standardised, centralised and intelligent governance.
Taking advantage of the analytics capabilities integrated in SAP S/4HANA, Exprivia, in addition to remodelling Business Intelligence, is supporting the Group in evaluating the use of Group Reporting and SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) Planning solutions to establish the statutory and managerial consolidated financial statements and the complete budget definition process within the SAP S/4HANA system.
